Cristian Simonca

Cristian Șimonca, known as Otravă, is a content creator, journalist, and entrepreneur with a long-standing presence in the Romanian digital and media space. With a background in journalism, he began his career in television, working in the sports newsroom at Pro TV, while also building his own platforms focused on culture, travel, and lifestyle. Through his blog and social media channels, he has created a space dedicated to recommendations, from restaurants and events to films, theatre, and music.

Deeply connected to the cultural world from an early age, having grown up around the Bucharest Comedy Theatre where his father was an actor, Cristian developed a strong interest in storytelling, performance, and creative industries. He is also the host of the Urban Flex podcast on Radio ZU and previously co-created Cronicari Digitali, a podcast series with over 100 episodes exploring culture and travel. In parallel, he is active as a DJ, performing at major festivals such as Untold and Massif.

As co-founder of Cuib de Joacă, he is involved in building a creative space designed for children, bringing together play, design, and experience. His work brings together media, culture, and lifestyle, shaped by a constant curiosity for places, people, and stories worth sharing.
